and dreams
This is a project designed with two goals: use of precast concrete and placing the crosswalk located on Piazza Galeno in Rome, largely used for traffic and train tracks, underground. To tie the lower level with the piazza, the existing tree trunks were extended in form of columns creating a field of verticals underneath. To allow in light and plant life, openings were made into the surface among the trunks, allowing the roots to cascade down into the cool and calm passage underground.
This project is developed upon the rooftop of Port Authority and features a collapsible structure that unfolds according to the season.
This project represents a series of ways in which I to observe and express the atmosphere and sentimental state of mind of a flaneur on the streets of a District in Rome, Italy. These are then transformed into an architecture that holds the same qualities.
In these hybrid drawings I explored the elements of the Swiss landscape, and worked with a photograph taken in CERN, where the Large Hadron Collider is situated, which I included in the imagery as well.
